Privacy Policy

This privacy policy contains detailed information about the processing of your personal data, in particular:

• who will process your data;
• what personal data of yours will be processed;
• for what purpose;
• what rights you have as a person to whom personal data is linked (i.e. data subject), and who you can contact with inquiries.

General information

Your personal data is processed by the administrator who is the organizer of the voting (hereinafter referred to as the "Administrator"). The identity of the Administrator and his contact details, as well as the contact details of the Administrator's personal data officer, are available to you when entering the voting and during it. If you are in doubt about the identity of the Administrator, please contact The NYC Civic Engagement Commission at info@civicengagement.nyc.gov with your e-mail inquiry.

The Administrator can entrust the processing of your personal data to a processor. In relation to proposals and voting, the Administrator has entrusted the processing of your personal data to the operator of the web platform through which voting takes place (commercial company Blueberry PoP s.r.o ID No. 226 43 711).

The Administrator intends to find out the opinion or preferences of as many interested people as possible based on voting. Therefore, it is possible to vote only once. The overall voting results are always processed in such a way that it is not possible to connect them with your identity. The NYC Civic Engagement Commission and Blueberry PoP will preserve the anonymity of your vote or votes.

During the voting process (May 10 - June 25) we collect and retain phone numbers as a mean to validate that there is only one vote per phone number record.

The only Personal Identifiable Information (PII) that we collect is optional and via the exit survey which includes the following fields:

Neither the NYC Civic Engagement Commission nor Blueberry PoP will publish your personal data. The survey answers, the vote, and the validation phone number are not linked among themselves.

Voting

By filling in and sending your phone number, you have confirmed that you familiarized yourself with the conditions of participation in the voting. We will process your phone number exclusively for the purpose of administration and voting evaluation. The processing includes ensuring your access to voting organized by the Administrator and protecting the regularity and transparency of voting. A unique code will be sent to your number, the entry of which will allow you to enter the voting. Your number is processed by the Administrator throughout the voting period to prevent multiple voting. After the end of voting, the Administrator will delete your number.

We process your mobile phone number due to the Administrator's legitimate interest in the regularity and transparency of voting. You can object to this processing at any time.
